Euan Murray's Tour Over

Euan Murray has been ruled out of the remainder of the British & Irish Lions tour to South Africa. The prop has failed to recover from the ankle injury he suffered against the Southern Kings in Port Elizabeth on Tuesday.

An X-Ray confirmed that Murray had not broken any bones, but it is understood that he will play no further part in to tour. The ligament damage sustained to the sprained ankle is too severe to allow a likely recovery in a short time frame.

"Murray has an ankle injury that is going to keep him out beyond the end of the tour," said coach Ian McGeechan. "I have only just found out, but we will have to look at a short-term replacement for him."
