James Hook is set to hear the fate of his Lions tour today when he meets with a neurologist to assess the head injury he sustained in the early exchanges of last weeks game against the Southern Kings. James Robson, chief doctor on the tour has described the medical team as having 'high hopes' for the result.

Meanwhile, Lee Byrne, who was subbed off in the first test is racing to recover from an injury to the foot which is thought to be a recurrence of an earlier problem. The injury to the arch of the foot has the full-back racing to be in contention for the second test.

We'll keep you posted on the state of both injuries.
