UPDATED - Burger Unlikely For 1st Test?

Stormers flanker Schalk Burger looks like he might be ruled out of the first test due to a calf injury. The Pretoria News is reporting that the calf injury is a recurring problem and that Burger has not been able to train properly in over a month. Burger is considered to be one of the best flank forwards in the world and his loss would be a considerable one for PdV and the Springbok squad.

Burgers absence would open the door to both squad member Dannie Russouw and Cheetah Heinrich Brussouw. Brussouw's initial omission from the squad caused consternation in some areas of the South African media and he had a fine game last Saturday against the Lions in Bloemfontein.
